Every apartment is guaranteed multiple ties in the league stage before the knockout rounds begin.
The top-performing teams from each group qualify for the knockout stage to battle for the BIABL Season 1 title. -

Eligibility Criteria
- All players must be current residents of the apartment they represent.
- Proof of residence must be submitted by team captain before the tournament. (Rental Agreement, Sale Deed, Utility Bill, Aadhaar, Driving Licence, etc.)
- Each player can represent only one apartment during the tournament.
- Every team must have:
- Minimum 2 U17 Players
- Minimum 4 Players aged 35+
- Minimum 2 Players aged 45+
- Minimum 1 Female Player (can also be U17)
- All age-based categories require a valid government-issued ID.
- Any team found fielding external or ineligible players will be disqualified.
- All team members should wear a common team uniform or dress code during the event.
Note: The Tournament Organising Committee reserves the right to verify player eligibility and make the final decision on all eligibility-related matters.

1. Who is eligible to participate?
The following are eligible to represent an apartment:
- Flat Owners
- Immediate Family Members (Spouse & Children)
- Parents of the Flat Owner
- Tenants currently residing in the apartment
All participants must satisfy the eligibility requirements and provide the necessary proof of residence.

2. Who is NOT allowed to participate?
The following are not eligible:
- Friends and relatives of flat owners or tenants.
- Former residents of the apartment
- Domestic staff
- Coaches running an academy in the apartment.
- Flat owners not residing in the apartment complex
Any team fielding ineligible players will be disqualified. -
3. What documents are accepted as proof of residence?
For Flat Owners & Immediate Family
- MyGate Resident Profile
- Aadhaar Card
- Driving Licence
- Passport
- Utility Bill
- Sale Deed / Possession Letter / Property tax certificate
- Any other government-issued document showing the apartment address
For Tenants- MyGate Resident Profile
- Registered Rental Agreement
- Police Verification (if available)
- Utility Bill (electricity/ maintainance reciept/ broadband bill)
- Aadhaar Card / Driving Licence updated with the apartment address
- Any additional document requested by the organisers.
Note: The organising committee reserves the right to request additional supporting documents from any player to verify eligibility.

4. Can one apartment field multiple teams?
Apartments may register multiple teams based on the number of interested players.
Each team must have its own unique squad. A player can represent only one team throughout the tournament and cannot switch teams after registration.
Each team must complete a separate registration and pay the applicable registration fee. -
5. Are villa communities or gated communities with independent houses eligible?
Yes.
BIABL is open to apartments, villa communities, gated communities and residential layouts managed by a Residents' Welfare Association (RWA), Apartment Owners' Association (AOA), or a similar governing body.
Examples include communities like Adarsh Palm Meadows, Prestige Ozone, and other villa or plotted developments.
All players must satisfy the same eligibility criteria and provide valid proof of residence. -
6. Can I reserve my team's slot first and submit player details later?
Yes.
Teams can reserve their slot by paying the booking amount. Player details and supporting documents can be submitted before the player registration deadline.

7. Can I reserve my slot by paying ₹999?
Yes.
Teams can reserve their slot by paying ₹999.
The remaining balance must be paid before the specified deadline to retain the launch offer pricing.

8. What happens if the balance amount is not paid before the deadline?
Failure to pay the remaining balance before the due date will make the team ineligible for the Launch Offer pricing.
The applicable registration fee at the time of payment will apply.
If the registration is not completed before the registration deadline, the reserved slot will be automatically cancelled and may be offered to another team.
Wildcard Player
What is a Wildcard Player?
Each apartment team is permitted to register one (1) Wildcard Player who is not a resident of the apartment.
This rule allows teams to include a special player while preserving the community-first spirit of BIABL.
Who can be registered as a Wildcard Player?
A Wildcard Player may be:
- A badminton coach who runs an academy within the apartment campus but is not a resident.
- A relative of a flat owner or tenant.
- A friend of a flat owner or tenant.
Registration Fee
- ₹999 (One-time registration fee)
- Applicable per Wildcard Player.
- Payable directly to the league.
Registration Rules
- Only one Wildcard Player is permitted per team.
- A Wildcard Player can represent only one apartment throughout the tournament.
- Registration must be completed on or before the final day of team registration.
- No new registrations or replacements will be permitted after the registration deadline.
Verification
The organising committee reserves the right to verify the eligibility of every Wildcard Player and may reject any registration that does not comply with the tournament rules.
