Uzma’s Perfect Day Continues with Mixed Doubles Triumph at Valentine’s Corporate Challenge

Uzma’s Perfect Day Continues with Mixed Doubles Triumph at Valentine’s Corporate Challenge

Some wins feel routine.

Some wins feel inevitable.

And then there are days when a player simply refuses to leave the court without making it hers.

The Mixed Doubles category at the Valentine’s Corporate Challenge belonged to Uzma Fatima (Target) — again.

Already crowned Women’s Doubles champion earlier in the day, Uzma walked back onto court alongside Amarnath Bansethi (Rockwell Automation) with fatigue in her legs but clarity in her intent.

She wasn’t done.

Semifinal: Ruthless from the First Rally

The semifinal against R Venkateshwara Prasad & Garima Pandey (Visa) never really opened up.

Uzma and Amarnath dictated the tempo from the first serve, cutting off angles early and forcing errors under pressure. The result was emphatic — a straight-sets win

21–8, 21–6,

and a clear message sent to the rest of the draw.

Final: Pressure, Then Control

The final brought a familiar challenge.

Across the net stood Hareen Talluri (ICICI Bank) and Tejasvi B (Titan) — a pair known for thriving in tight finishes and refusing to give away cheap points.

The opening set was a grind. Long rallies. Narrow margins. No freebies.

Uzma and Amarnath edged it 21–19.

Once ahead, something shifted.

The second set saw sharper movement, earlier interceptions, and decisive finishing. With confidence flowing, they closed the match 21–12, sealing the Mixed Doubles title without letting the contest drift.

Two Finals. Two Titles. One Day.

  • Women’s Doubles champion.
  • Mixed Doubles champion.

No noise. No celebration theatrics. Just work done — twice.

At the Valentine’s Corporate Challenge, Uzma didn’t just win matches.

She owned the day.
