The third stop of the Badiwars 5.0 season — the Powerplay Open at Powerplay Sports — turned into another strong outing for Team Shell, with standout performances across Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and 35+ categories.
From deep tournament runs to category finals appearances, Shell players once again proved why the company continues to remain one of the strongest contingents in the Badiwars circuit.
✅WOMEN’S DOUBLES
Manisha Shetty & Sonal Jena Bring Home the Title
Shell secured the Women’s Doubles championship in dominant fashion as both finalist pairs represented the company.
In the final, Sonal Jena & Manisha Shetty defeated fellow Shell duo Shatakshi Shree & Pooja Nagpal 21-11, 21-15 to clinch the title.
The match showcased Shell’s depth in women’s doubles, with all four finalists representing the company.

Manisha Shetty & Mayur Karukonda Reach Finals
Shell delivered one of its strongest performances in Mixed Doubles with multiple pairs progressing deep into the draw.
Mayur Karukonda & Manisha Shetty produced one of the most dominant wins of the tournament in the quarterfinals, defeating the seeded GSK pair Sakshi Nautiyal & Arun Balaraman 21-1, 21-2.
They continued their impressive run by defeating Rohit Rajan & Sonal Jena in a hard-fought semifinal before eventually finishing runners-up in the finals against the top-seeded pair of Uzma Fatima & Amarnath Bansethi.

Mayur Karukonda once again delivered a strong singles campaign for Shell.
Seeded second in the draw, Mayur defeated Tarun Kumar Penta in the Round of 32 before surviving a tough three-game battle against Suhas Naidu in the Round of 16.
His run came to an end in the semifinals against eventual runner-up Nabarun Kalita.

Shell’s Men’s Doubles pair of Rohit Rajan & Barun Sharma pushed the strong Google pairing of Sarthak Sethi & Mihil Gupta to three games in a thrilling quarterfinal encounter.
After taking the opening game, the Shell duo narrowly lost the second before eventually going down in the decider.
