Mixed Corporate Championship | Kreeda Arena | June 28

Monika Singh of NTT Data didn’t just step into the Shuttleboi Badiwars circuit — she made an instant statement.

Making her first appearance at Shuttleboi Badiwars, Monika entered the Women’s Singles draw ready to test herself against a strong corporate field. What followed across the day was a composed and commanding run that ended with her lifting the championship trophy.

Her journey began in the quarterfinals against Sakshi Nautiyal (GSK). From the opening rally, Monika controlled the tempo, mixing patient rally construction with timely attacking shots. The pressure told quickly as she closed the match 21–11, 21–12, moving confidently into the semifinals.

In the semifinals, she faced Krithika M Pai (Fidelity Investments) — a player known for consistency and match discipline. Monika responded with maturity beyond the occasion, staying calm during extended rallies and capitalizing on key moments. The result was another straight-game victory, 21–14, 21–11, sending her into the final without dropping a single game.

Awaiting her in the title clash was top seed Mayuri Kharde (Allen Digital).

The final proved to be Monika’s most complete performance of the tournament. She absorbed early pressure, stayed composed in long exchanges, and gradually imposed control over the match. With confident shot selection and strong court coverage, Monika closed the championship encounter 21–15, 21–14, defeating the tournament favourite in straight games.
