Strong Field, Tough Draws for Dell in 35+ Categories at Mixed Corporate Fest

The Mixed Corporate Fest, Tournament 6 of Badiwars 4.0, held on July 26 at Kreeda, Sarjapur, proved to be a challenging outing for Dell Technologies in the 35+ Men’s Singles and 35+ Men’s Doubles categories.

With a large Dell contingent across both events, the day featured competitive wins, deep matches, and narrow losses against seasoned opposition in a tightly packed draw.

35+ Men’s Doubles: Competitive Depth, Elite Opposition

Dell Technologies fielded ten pairs in the 35+ Men’s Doubles category, underlining the team’s depth and commitment in one of the circuit’s most experienced divisions.

Early-round wins included:

Bala M & Shibi Panikkar, who progressed past the Round of 16 with a straight-games victory

Pushparaj C B & Honnappa Shettikera, who advanced confidently from the opening round

Waseem Zerof K M & Sukesh Nayak, who edged through a three-game contest

In the quarterfinals, Bala M & Shibi Panikkar delivered a strong performance to reach the semifinals, defeating Waseem Zerof K M & Sukesh Nayak in straight games.

Their run, however, ended in the semifinals against top-seeded Ritwik Venkatesh & Sudhip Mohan, who went on to win the title. Other Dell pairs exited across the Round of 16 and quarterfinal stages, often after tightly contested matches.

35+ Men’s Singles: Early Exit

Dell had Parikshith Shetty representing the team in the 35+ Men’s Singles category. His campaign ended in the Round of 32, where he faced Nayanava De (Adobe) and exited after a competitive straight-games match.

A Reality Check in a Crowded Category

The 35+ categories at Mixed Corporate Fest highlighted the depth and experience present across the circuit. While Dell Technologies did not advance to the finals in either event, the matches reinforced the fine margins that define this division—where one strong draw or early matchup can shape the entire outcome.
