Mixed Fortunes for Dell in Doubles Categories at Mixed Corporate Fest

The Mixed Corporate Fest, Tournament 6 of Badiwars 4.0, held on July 26 at Kreeda, Sarjapur, presented a demanding day for Dell Technologies across the Men’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Women’s Doubles categories.

While several Dell pairs advanced into the latter stages, the doubles draws once again underlined the circuit’s depth—where margins are thin and progression is never guaranteed.

Men’s Doubles: Competitive Runs, Tough Draws

Dell Technologies fielded nine pairs in Men’s Doubles, reflecting strong depth and participation in one of the most crowded categories of the tournament.

Early positives included wins by:

  • Karthik Venkatesh & Honnappa Shettikera, who advanced past the opening round
  • Nagendra Boregowda & Aravind Srinivasan, who progressed comfortably in Round 1
  • Devaiah M E & Parikshith Shetty, who secured a Round of 16 win

However, the Round of 8 proved decisive.

  • Devaiah M E & Parikshith Shetty were edged out in a three-game battle by Hareen Talluri & Amarnath Bansethi
  • Gaurav Ajila & Shibi Panikkar exited against the top-seeded Govardhan Shenoy & Sukhesh Shenoy
  • Karthik Venkatesh & Honnappa Shettikera bowed out after a competitive run

Despite multiple pairs reaching the knockout stages, Dell’s Men’s Doubles campaign ended in the quarterfinals, reflecting both depth and the challenge of navigating elite draws.

Mixed Doubles: One Pair into the Semifinals

Dell entered three pairs in Mixed Doubles.

  • Aravind Srinivasan & Minal Jaiswal advanced through the opening round before running into eventual champions Uzma Fatima & Amarnath Bansethi in the quarterfinals.
  • Bala M & Charusheela R exited in Round 1 after a three-game contest.

The standout run came from Devaiah M E & Devika Chandran, who:

Advanced directly to the quarterfinals.Defeated Tony Alex & Gincy George in straight games

Reached the semifinals before being halted by the eventual champions.

Reaching the semifinals in a stacked Mixed Doubles field marked the deepest Dell run in the category.

Women’s Doubles: Early Exit Against Top Seeds

Dell fielded two pairs in Women’s Doubles.

  • Charusheela R & Minal Jaiswal progressed to the semifinals but faced the tournament’s top-seeded pair, Sameena Ajeeth & Shruthi Raveendran, exiting in straight games.
  • Mamta Andola & Nidhi Chamarty exited in the opening round.

The Women’s Doubles draw once again highlighted the strength at the top of the category, with Dell’s pairs gaining valuable match exposure against elite opposition.

A Day of Resistance, Not Results

While Dell Technologies did not convert doubles appearances into podium finishes at Mixed Corporate Fest, the campaign reflected breadth, competitiveness, and sustained presence across all three doubles categories.

With Men’s Singles delivering the tournament’s headline result and doubles categories providing hard-earned match experience, Dell continues to remain firmly in the mix as Badiwars 4.0 enters its decisive phase.
