Every tournament has a moment that changes its story. At the Monsoon Corporate Open, that moment belonged to Prerana B V.

Playing her first tournament of the season, Prerana didn’t just enter the circuit — she shook it.

By the end of the day, she walked out with two titles, having taken down the biggest names across both Women’s Singles and Women’s Doubles in one of the most commanding individual performances of Badiwars 4.0.

🏸 Women’s Singles: The Giant-Killer Run

Prerana’s singles campaign began quietly — and then exploded.

Quarterfinal

She opened with authority, brushing past Kriti Yadav (Intel) in straight games:

21–4, 21–7

But the real test was waiting.

Semifinal — The Top Seed Falls

Standing across the net was Garima Pandey (Visa) — the number one ranked Women’s Singles player of the season.

What followed was one of the most decisive upsets of the tournament.

Prerana played fearless badminton, controlling the rallies and refusing to allow Garima any rhythm, sealing a stunning straight-games win:

21–10, 21–8

The message was clear. This wasn’t a lucky run.

This was intent.

Final — Dell vs Dell, Nerves vs Composure. The final brought a different challenge.

On the other side stood Devika Chandran — the reigning Dell MVP, known for her defence, patience, and big-match temperament.

In an all-Dell final, Prerana stayed composed, absorbed pressure, and closed points with confidence, defeating her compatriot:

21–7, 21–17

A first tournament.A first Singles title.

And a statement that echoed through the circuit.

🏸 Women’s Doubles: Two Favourites Taken Down

If the Singles run raised eyebrows, the Doubles campaign left no doubt.

Partnering Maitreyi Singh, Prerana walked into a bracket stacked with history, dominance, and proven champions.

Semifinal — Ending the Reign

Awaiting them were Sameena Ajeeth & Shruthi Raveendran — widely regarded as the most dominant Women’s Doubles pair at Badiwars.

What followed was a battle.

After splitting the opening two games, Prerana and Maitreyi held their nerve when it mattered most, closing a pulsating three-game contest:

21–12, 18–21, 21–17

The champions were dethroned. The crowd felt it.

Final — Beating the Other Favourite

The final offered no relief.

Across the net stood Uzma Fatima & Tejasvi B — the other big favourites for the season title.Once again, Prerana found herself in a three-game war.And once again, she delivered.

After dropping the first game, the Dell pair mounted a composed comeback, sealing the championship in a dramatic decider:

18–21, 21–15, 21–20

Two finals.Two comebacks.Two titles.
